Debbie Bliss Pleated Wrap

Pattern: Debbie Bliss Spring/Summer '09 Pleated Wrap
Yarn: Caron Spa Bamboo Yarn (3 skeins)
Needles: size 4

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's done!!!

Oh happy day!

Seriously... I can't even tell you. I thought I'd never finish this one.

Even my hubby was like, "Are you still working on that thing!?"

It's not even that it's hard pattern. It's actually really easy!

It just doesn't move fast.

I had a mini power-knitting session this week and after knitting my butt off,
it'd only grown like 3 inches!

I was like, are you freakin' kidding me?

I almost died.

It came out beautifully, tho...
and sis-n-law is very happy with it (which is ALL that matters). ;-)

I have to admit, I didn't get to 71 inches, like the pattern called for.

I cast off at about 63 inches. Not too short, but still. I didn't make it to 71".

Oh well... on to the next project.

Bummer is, I wouldn't mind making one of these for myself 'cause it is really pretty!

But I don't wanna spend 100 years on it!

I think Twinkle has spoiled me.

Big needles + chunky yarn = fast projects!

Debbie Bliss Pleated Wrap

OMG... it's never gonna end...

I really have been knitting! Really! I promise!

Been working on this now since, oh let's see... June!

Oh geez... Seriously? Only at 37 inches?

Only 34 inches more to go!

x-(

It is quite pretty, tho...

This is for my sis-in-law's birthday, which was July 24th...

Maybe it'll be a Christmas present!

Knit.1 - Spring/Summer 2009!

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new Knit.1 will be out May 5th!!!

Love the cover. So fresh with these pinks, greens and blues. Perfect for Spring!

Love, love, love these! Esp the wrap sweater and those cute shorts!

What is this? A knitted foot rest? I'd never make this...

1st off - I'm too lazy and it looks like too much work.
2nd of all - If I'm makin' something, it's gonna be something I can wear!

Vogue Knitting Spring/Summer 2009

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The new issue of Vogue Knitting is out now!!!!

You know I love my mags and I love Spring! So this is a double-YAY!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Um, pretty much EVERYTHING below excites me... (sweater in lower left corner, in particular)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And another Twinkle pattern! YAY!!!!!! (One is Anna Sui and one is Twinkle. Tough call but I'm guessing the tank on the right is Twinkle? We'll see!).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This makes me particularly happy cause just about a month ago, I popped into American Apparel and was completely fascinated with their new Circle Vest!
I LUV (with a capitol "L") AA and I think it's cause I get such a kick outta how simple their clothes are and yet, you can do so much with them. They get so creative with one piece of long fabric!
Anyway, after I'd seen their circle vest, I looked everywhere for a circle vest pattern and found a few interesting things, but eventually was over it...
Well thank God, cause now here's this! YAY!
Happy Knitting!
Knit Simple Spring/Summer 2009
Yay!!!!!!!! The new KnitSimple is out for Spring/Summer!
It looks like there are some cute patterns in this issue and I'll definitely be going to the bookstore to pick this one up!
I don't get into the clothing patterns too much but their home patters, like the place mats and the door mat are too cute!
And I love the laptop bag!
Debbie Bliss Magazine (Spring/Summer 2009)
Yay!!!!
The new Debbie Bliss Magazine is out!!!
You know what I've come to appreciate about this magazine (even though this is only the second issue...) is that these patterns prove that knitting doesn't always have to be big and bulky.
In the last issue (the Fall issue) and in this current issue, there are nice patterns that one could wear year around!
And that's key for someone who lives in So Cal, where there is no 'Winter' here.
I also enjoy that she has a little section on home stuff... Last issue was a spread on Seed Stitch place mats.
This issue has a section on pillows.
Anyway, am excited about this new issue!
YAY!!!
Knit.1 Recycle Tote (Summer 2008 - the Green issue)
So this is my next adventure!
Recycle Tote from Knit.1's Green Issue!
Fortunately, this pattern is FREE online so you can make it too! :+)
I'm not too far into it!
While I like this gray-on-white look, I've decided to make mine Bright Pink!!! with Lion's Lion Wool in Rose.
I made my swatch and it came out perfect! This pattern seems pretty easy. It should work fast!
