And here it finally is!  :)

Spud and Chloe Buga Baby Bunting #9210

Pattern: Spud and Chloe Buga Baby Bunting # 9210

Yarn: Spud and Chloe Outer (in Bubble # 7213)

Needles: 16" circulars in Size 13, 24" circulars in Size 11 and Size 10 double pointed

Mods: None

YAY!!! Another one done!

I have been a "crazy knitting lady" lately and am really powering through my yarn stash!

I honestly can't even remember when I bought this yarn and I think I bought it at the Yarn Lady (when she was still around).

This is the Spud and Chloe Outer in Bubble and it's so cute!

It looks a lot more Blue in pictures, than it really is in real life.

It is truly like a light grey blue.... The name Bubble is perfect to describe it's color!

This one goes to a friend of ours who lives up in the Bay Area and she is due pretty soon!

Since it gets cold up there, this cozy hunting will be perfect for new baby!

This pattern is super easy and it works so fast!

You know I love my fast combo -

Chunky yarn + Big Needles = fast project!

:)

This is a Susan B. Anderson pattern so you know it's easy to read and follow...

The little ears were quick & easy to make on the size 10 double pointeds!

I think I could have had better placement but they are still cute!

The only thing I did not do was the optional I-Cord button and loop.

It's not that I didn't want to or that it seemed hard...

It's that I liked the way the front collar neck opens with one a V-shape.

I hope they like it too!

Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Baseball Jacket

And this is done!

Pattern: Baseball Jacket (Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino 4)
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino in 08 Navy, 032 Sky, 101 Fresh Cream
Needle Size: US size 2 and US size 3 circulars!
Size: 36 mo

Colors (L-R): 08 Navy, 032 Sky, 101 Fresh Cream

I bought this yarn and pattern book last October at the Yarn Lady (when she was still around) and
had started this sweet sweater around that time...

but put it on hold to finish the Christmas Sock-a-thon I'd needed to power out.

:)

This yarn is incredibly soft and feels so nice in your hands.

It's not so soft thought, that it slips off the needles... does that make sense?

AND!  It's machine-washable!  YAY!

I did wash this sweater with Peanut's clothes in Dreft.

Then I left the sweater flat on the washing machine to air dry.

This sweater has been done for awhile and I'm just getting around to posting it now!

Anything that required two of (like two sleeves and two fronts) I worked at the same time
so it would go faster!

Sleeves

Back

Two Fronts!

Ok.. so here's where I got a bit confused and I have to give a huge
Thank You shout-out to these nice gals on Ravelry for helping me through it:

Basically, you have all these separate pieces (fronts, sleeves and a back)
and you knit across so they are all attached!

And become like this!

I dunno why this threw me for such a loop!

You know I confuse easily.

:)

And finally, here is Peanut in his new sweater!

I made this a size bigger than he is so that he could grow into it!

He is not big but he is long.  He wears 3T in his top but still 18 mo's in his pants/shorts!

I decided to sew the two fronts closed so that it is a full-time pullover...

as Peanut likes to take his clothes off at random times.

I found these cute Baseball Buttons at JoAnn's!

And, he's over it...
"Take it off!"

Oh well...

That's why it's sewed shut.

Spud and Chloe Leaf Blanket #9216 (Designed by Susan B. Anderson)

YAY!!!

And just in time for Baby H's arrival on Monday the 14th!

(coincidentally the same birth date as our Peanut!)

Ok, you guys...

I can't even begin to tell you how ridiculously easy this pattern is!!!

Can you tell how excited I am?!

And it's not just 'cause I've been having some wine.

This pattern really is THAT GOOD!

:)

It calls for 4 skeins of the Spud & Chloe Outer, which I loved!

It's so chunky and yummy!

It reminds me of what used to be the Twinkle Soft Chunky.

I went with the color Hedge (# 7210) because it is... you know, a leaf.

:)

Among the many nice things about this yarn (softness, good quality, no pilling)
is that it is machine washable!!!

YAY!

Perfect for busy mommies!

It's 65% superwash wool and 35% organic cotton, which should feel nice on baby's skin and it won't stretch out too much or lose it's shape too much!

I went ahead and washed this with Dreft (so Mommy H won't have to!) on gentle cycle with cool water and then blocked it by laying it out on 3 thick bath towels.

I pinned it to the towels and left it to dry for 24 hours or so, and it was fine!

It lays flat now and blocked nicely!

This is a simple cast on with increases and then decreases...
and it's worked on size 15 needles so it goes super fast!

I love this little Monkey button.  He's such a happy guy!

I hope Baby H. will be very cozy and warm in his Leaf blanket
and I can't wait to meet him next week!

Purl Bee Laura's Loop: Infant Mittens

And, these are done...

I worked on these while up in the bay area last week, hoping to get them done in time to give them to a good friend of ours who is due on January 14th with her baby boy!

Our Peanut was born on January 14th!  YAY!

I remember when El Hub and I first brough him home, we thought we were freezing him out!

Our house is ALL tile and it gets pretty cold in here, especially at night...

and especially when you have a hubby that does not like to spend money turn on the heater!

Pre-baby, he used to tell me to put a jacket on... Inside the house!

Then, we brought our little man home and all of that changed!

El Hub would crank the heat so that our little Peanut could be warm
and I'd be sweating and wearing shorts and a tank!  :)

We used to feel Peanut's little hands and feet and they seemed so cold to us!

I used to swaddle him and he'd pop himself right out of there!

(at 23 months, he still does not like to wear socks... or shoes for that matter... or pants for that matter...)

:0)

It's cute to see how much the baby brought out El Hub's softer side... (though, he still complained about turning the heater on).

:)

Anyway!!!

These are the Purl Bee Laura's Loop Infant Mittens!

I used the Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in the white (101 Fresh Cream), light blue (032 Sky) and a pretty dark teal (59 Mallard) color (which the ladies at the yarn shop thought was weird for a boy... but I thought it was modern.)

:)

This is Navy, Sky and Cream... From my next project.

These really did work soooooooo incredibly fast!

I started a pair in the car on the drive up.

They start with # 2 double pointeds for the first 13 rows (while doing K1, P1) and
then switch to # 3 pointeds while knitting each round.

Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in Cream and Sky

I worked on these at the hotel and it was such a nice break from my sock-o-rama!!!

They work so fast, I made one pair on a rainy afternoon!

I-Cord always works fast and if you don't remember how (as I didn't!), there's a nice
I-Cord written tutorial on the Purl Bee site and there's this great YouTube video from TheEastSideKnitter!

Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in Mallard, Cream and Sky

After being up north all week, I never did get to meet up with my friend so I've popped these in the mail to her so she can have them for her little man's teeny hands.

Free Pattern Friday! - Lion Brand Martha Stewart Crewneck Baby Sweater

And this is done!

and it was made by my mom for our Peanut!

Grandma used the Martha Stewart Crafts Cotton Hemp in:

Twilight Blue
Blue Icing
Picnic Green

She made this for him in size 2 years and she said it was a very easy pattern!

The pattern was clear & easy to read.

And the sweater worked very quickly!

She liked working with this yarn and the nice thing about it is that it's Machine Washable!!!

I can't say exactly how long it took her to make it but it couldn't have been more than a month or two.

I was hoping to get a picture of Peanut in Grandma's sweater but it's been
A BILLION degrees these days!

I promise as soon as I get him in this sweater, I'll update with a picture!

Happy Friday!

And thanks, Grandma!

Debbie Bliss - Booties with Blanket Stitch detail (from Blankets Bears and Booties)

Yup... Another set of booties.

Doesn't it seem like everyone under the sun is having a baby this year?!

These are for a little one that's due October 25th.  They aren't going to find out what the gender will be so I stuck with the neutrals again.
It's safe to say that this was not my favorite project...

I dunno if I'm just over booties... or just tired.

I really struggled with these, though and!

to top it all off... One came out bigger than the other!!!

Or one came out smaller than the other.  :-/

Either way, these didn't come out so well.

These have the "knit row 1 and row 7 together" type of thing not only once, but twice!

The good thing is that I learned how to do this blanket stitch, which is cute!

And I thought these would be easy and quick 'cause there are no buttons!

I used the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino yarn, which I really like, and I think is fairly priced (at my LYS) at $8.00/skein.

I have to admit, I'm over the booties for awhile...

I don't even have much more to say on these!

:)
